Do you believe you can’t lose weight? Have you got a particular reason you can’t lose that excess fat? The fact is most people who are looking to lose a few pounds get set in the mind that they can’t lose weight. They think the weight loss demons are stopping them from them from dieting with a magical spell or something.
The sad fact is that secretly they don’t want to lose weight at all. They would be content to just carry on living as they are now. Yet they still tell themselves they would like to lose a few pounds but they can’t, or don’t know how.
It’s not rocket science. It boils down to a simple mathematical solution. We eat (calories) and we burn (calories) off. If we eat more than we burn off we get fat. Period.
On the other hand if we burn off slightly more than we eat we lose weight. This is the crux of the problem. The average diet is so full of calories it’s almost criminal. If you compared what you should be eating against what you do eat you would give yourself a funny turn. I kid you not.
Let’s take a simple exercise, say doing side bends to try to burn off your love handles. Doing lots and lots of these will make you lose weight. How many you have to do is anyones guess as it’s simply a balancing act between burning calories and eating calories.
It’s easy to consume a full days calories in one go. Honestly! Fast food carries a huge amount of blame. Even the non sweet stuff can be packed with sugar. You will feel hungry again in much less time if you eat sugary stuff.
Almost everything we eat gets changed into a simple form of sugar called glucose by the body. Sweet foods get used up much quicker by the body leaving you feeling hungry a lot faster. So you tend to eat again. Some view our current (sugar packed) diets as a western world conspiracy to get us eating more, and ultimately spending more on food.
The more we eat, the more we spend, the more they get rich. A simple formula for the big corporations to get rich. And the easiest way to get us eating more? Add sugar to everything we eat.
Kinda like in a bar when there’s peanuts on the bar so you eat the salt, get thirsty and drink more. So, in conclusion to all this, the fact of the matter is you will lose weight by simply eating slightly less than you burn off. Can you do this on your own? I doubt it as the western worlds collective willpower is on the floor.

Do any search on the net and you’ll hit a million websites that will promise to strip that fat from your love handles. Sadly most of it’s just fluff & rubbish. It’s usually geared to selling you some pills or equipment.
The usual suspect in the exercise for love handles category is the good old side bend. You hold something above your head, usually a broom handle or stick and then lean or bend left, then right. Then repeat, repeatedly. Get real! You can do side bends all you like but they won’t work.
The fact they won’t work is that targeting one particular area to lose weight from is nigh on impossible. Lots of people and websites will tell you otherwise though. Of course they work, but only when they are part of a complete system. Not just targeting one area.
Doing side bends as part of an all round workout will definitely get you success. If you have a healthy diet as well as a good workout system you will see far better results. It’s a well known (but ignored) fact that to lose weight you simply need to consume less energy than you burn off.
Consuming energy means eating it, usually food. To burn energy off you simply have to do something that is active. Exercise usually. Exercise can be any form of activity that burns calories.
Any of these will do … Swimming, jogging, cycling, walking, and making love even! Any exercise at all is better than no exercise at all. The reason a lot of us are overweight is we eat food that is stuffed with calories. Then we fail to burn those calories off.
You can exercise for your love handles all you want but if you ignore other areas you will simply get nowhere fast. If you are a naturally lazy person (like me) then swimming is probably your best all round exercise. If you have access to a pool, use it. The benefits are immense.
I dislike jogging and the like. I see no reason to pay for a slim figure with wrecked knee joints. I believe the guy who brought us jogging keeled over and died while out jogging. His body being found by two smokers passing by. There’s irony for ya!
If you are serious about your shape then you need to get yourself an all round system to follow. Not some new fangled diet that won’t work but a system that will work long term and is gentle enough for you to keep at it. Tired of the usual and boring abs exercises that don’t even produce results? This article is intended to help you find out how to get flat abs through using a workout that provides high intensity stabilization techniques. I like to give my readers better options for metabolism-boosting high intensity workouts that work their entire body while also working their abs.
I am going to present a great high intensity workout you can do to get ripped abs that don’t even directly point to straight up abs exercise at all. It’s in a tri-set format (similar to a super-set but alternating between 3 exercises).
Here goes:
1a. Renegade Dumbbell Rows
1b. Front Squats with Barbell
1c. Mountain Climbers on Floor
For each exercise, 3-4 sets of 8 reps would be a great rep scheme to follow. You can also do more sets and less reps, 5 sets of 5 reps or something like that. For mountain climbers, your sets would be time intervals (every 30 seconds).
Renegade dumbbell rows are done starting in a pushup position with the hands on 2 dumbbells. You then row one dumbbell up while stabilizing your body with the other arm. Then bring the dumbbell back to the ground and do the other arm. Be sure the whole time that you keep your body in a controlled manner and you are keeping form. So how does this work out my abs you may be asking? The stabilizing effect during the rows it what creates work for your abdominals. Don’t think your abs are getting a workout, wait til you feel it in the morning!
Front squats as you most likely guessed it are just like back squats, only difference being that you are positioning the barbell in front of your body on the front of your shoulders rather than on the upper back. Set the barbell on your shoulders with your arms crossed and push your firsts into the bar against your shoulders, keeping your elbows out in front. This takes a little practice at first, so you will want to seek a professional trainer at your gym to help you with the form. Your abs are working through the extreme stabilization your body is going through as the weight shifts to the front of your body creating this strenuous stabilization strength effort. This is another exercise that you’ll be feeling in your abdominals area!
Just like the renegade dumbbells, mountain climbers have a starting position of a pushup. You then shuffle the your feet in and out so that your knees come up to your chest and back out to the starting position. It gets its workout name due to the fact that it simulates climbing a mountain but you are flat on the floor. Mountain climbers is one of the best way to lose belly fat as it burns off body fat.
These are tri-sets so after doing an exercise, rest only for about 30 seconds, and then go on to the next one immediately. For the completion of each tri-set, rest for about 1-2 minutes before repeating the whole tri-set.
In spite of the fact that there are no direct abs exercises involved, this is one of the best abs exercises you can do. Do the workout and you’ll become believer too!
